FAQ
Who will be working on my renovation?
The owner of Winnipeg Bathrooms will be primarily working on your project. Winnipeg Bathrooms also oversees a combination of Red Seal carpenters, electricians and plumbers, and supervised, experienced helpers and apprentices.
How much is my bathroom renovation going to cost?
We charge very reasonable rates for the high quality of renovations we do but the cost depends on several factors, the main ones being; 1. the size of the project, 2. the current condition of the structure of your home and 3. the materials that you have chosen for your renovation.
Some quotes will be more than us, and some will be less. There are several things to consider when comparing; quality of work, materials and tradespeople will make all the difference in the longevity of your renovation. No two quotes are created equal, and the better deal may even be in the higher priced one.
What is the renovation process like, from start to finish?
We will meet with you once in your home to do some preliminary measurements and talk about what will be involved for the renovation. We will try our best to meet your needs to schedule an appointment. It is possible that if there is extensive electrical or plumbing work we may have more than one visit to make to be sure we can provide you with the most accurate quote.
We will then (via email or in person, whatever suits you best) present the quote to you. This is the time to go over any last minute details (we would like a double sink instead of a single, for example) so the price can be adjusted accordingly.
Once both parties agree upon the work that will be done, depending on the time frame for the work, we usually will accept payment in 3 stages;
1. Deposit, this is to confirm and secure the date that we will start on your home,
2. First Payment, this will be due the first day that work begins and
3. Final Payment, once the work is completed to your satisfaction and to what was
agreed upon, final payment is due.
During the renovation process we will check in to make sure that we are on the right track. While some changes can happen we prefer to spend time in the planning stages for the sake of an accurate quote, efficiency and quality of renovation.
If you have one bathroom in your home, we can re-install the toilet every evening before we leave and we can coordinate with you for when the tub will be out of service. We strive to make sure that the process is as convenient as possible.
When can the work start?
We will work with your schedule as best as we can to accommodate.
What kind of projects does Winnipeg Bathrooms do?
We do all kinds of bathroom and home renovation work. We can do the small upgrade before you sell, to the high end bathroom that you can enjoy for years to come and we have extensive experience in commercial applications as well. We will work with you to make your vision a reality. No matter what size or budget you will only get our best quality of work.
Do I have to schedule a plumber and a electrician if I want that type of work done?
Although most renovations and especially bathrooms are complicated and require a variety of skilled tradespeople, the only people you have to worry about dealing with will be from Winnipeg Bathrooms. We do all of the scheduling for your renovation. We are a one-stop-shop!
Is the plumbing done by plumbers?
Absolutely. Not only is it the law but we only used experienced and Red Seal qualified trades/trades helpers with all of the work that we do. If faulty work is done in your home by an non-certified plumber and there is a problem, your insurance may not cover it. We use experienced, provincially certified red seal plumbers to provide the highest quality of work possible.

Is the electrical work done by electricians?
Absolutely. We only use experienced, provincially certified Red Seal electricians because we want to give you the highest quality of work possible. Like faulty plumbing work, faulty electrical work done by a non-certified electrician may cause a problem that your insurance may not cover. We always want to deliver quality home renovations to your most important investment, your home, and the most important people to us...you!

Can I choose my own fixtures?
Yes, of course. We can provide guidance but choosing the look of your new bathroom is a big part of the fun!
